OUR Articles of Faith

This ministry recognizes that its basis of faith shall be according to the doctrine of Christ found in 2 John:9. "Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God."  The Biblically inspired doctrine of faith, which lists the seven principles of the doctrine of Christ, found in Hebrews 6:1-2. "Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment."

Thus we see that these seven principles include the following:

  1. Repentance from dead works- Eph 2:8-9

  2. Faith in God (Trust in the Lord) - Pro 3:5-6

  3. Doctrine of Baptisms

      a. Baptism of Salvation- John 3:3,5-6

      b. Baptism of Water- Matt 3:11

      c.  Baptism of the Holy Spirit- Acts 2:1-4

  4. The going on to perfection- Matt 16:24-27, Gal 2:20

  5. The laying on of hands:

      a. Healing- Mark 5:23, 8:23,25

      b. Blessing- Mark 10:16

      c. Infilling of the Holy Spirit-Act 8:17, 19:6

      d. Anointing of others for ministry- Acts 13:1-3

  6. The resurrection of the dead

      a. Jesus- Luke 24:46

      b. Us -1 Thess 4:15-17

  7.  Eternal Judgment & Eternal Life- Matt 25:41-46, 1 John 5:11-13

Lighthouse Ministry Believes in:

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God. We believe in His substitutionary death for all men, His resurrection, and His eventual return to judge the world.

1.

Salvation

We believe all are born with a sinful nature and that the work of Christ’s atonement at the Cross was to redeem us from the power of sin. We believe that this salvation from sin is available to all who are willing to receive it through the prayer of salvation.

2.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the existence of the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity (God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit.) We believe in the Holy Spirit’s interaction with man as a helper and comforter (John 14:16). We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as manifested by the fruit and the gifts of the Spirit.

.

3.

The Sacred Scripture

We believe in the scripture as the inspired Word of God and that it is the complete revelation of God’s will for mankind. We believe in the
absolute authority of the scripture to govern the affairs of mankind.

4.

Stewardship

We believe that everyone is the steward of their life and resources, all of which ultimately belong to God, the ultimate Provider. We believe that tithing is a Biblical mandate and the measure of obedience to the scriptural principles of stewardship.

5.

The Church

We believe in the Church as the eternal and universal Body of Christ consisting of all those who have accepted the work of Christ’s  atonement. We believe in the need for a local assembly of believers for the purpose of evangelism to unbelievers and edification of the Body of Christ.

6.

Prayer and Praise

We believe in the worship of the Lord through singing, clapping, and the lifting of hands. We believe in the authority of the believer to ask freely of the Lord to meet their needs according to God’s perfect will and in the Name of His Son, Jesus Christ.

7.

8.

Healing

We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit to the Church body through the anointing of oil by the elders of the church and through the laying on of hands in prayer.

9.

Evangelism

The Lord commands us to evangelize all people and nations by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that this is the obligation of every follower of Jesus Christ.

10.

Water Baptism

We believe in the ordinance of water baptism by immersion of water in obedience to the Word of God. All those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior should be baptized in water as a public profession of their faith in Christ.

11.

Commitment to Israel

We believe in the promise of Genesis 12:3 regarding the Jewish people and the nation of Israel. We believe Christians should bless and  comfort Israel and the Jewish people. Believers have a Bible mandate to combat anti-Semitism and to speak out in defense of Israel and the chosen people.

12.

Personal Relationship With Christ

We believe that every believer has a unique relationship with the Lord. As His children, every Christian has immediate access to the throne of Grace for God’s help, protection and provision in every area of their lives.

1.

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God. We believe in His substitutionary death for all men, His resurrection, and His eventual return to judge the world.

FIVE PILLARS OF HARVEST

Proclaiming the authority of God’s Word without apology

“Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete

patience and teaching.” 2 Timothy 4:2

Lifting high the name of Jesus through worship

“God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24

Believing firmly in the power of prayer

“Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all

perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.” Ephesians 6:18

Sharing the good news of Jesus with boldness

“And also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.”Ephesians 6:19-20

Enduring in love as the foundation of all relationship

“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35

The Triune God

We believe in the one living and true God, eternally (John 17:3) existing in perfect unity as three equally and fully divine Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19-20). Each member of the Godhead, while executing distinct but complementary roles in redemptive history, has precisely the same nature, attributes, and being, and is equally worthy of the same glory and honor and obedience (John 1:1-4Acts 5:3-4).

God the Father

We believe God the Father created all things in six literal days for His glory according to His own will (Revelation 4:11), through His Son, Jesus Christ. He upholds all things by the Word of His power and grace, exercising sovereign headship over all creation, providence, and redemption (Colossians 1:17Hebrews 1:3).

God the Son

We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son, moved by love in accordance with the will of the Father, took on human flesh (John 1:11418). Conceived through the miraculous work of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the virgin Mary. He, being fully God and fully man (John 14:8-9), lived a sinless life and sacrificially shed His blood and died on the cross in our place, accomplishing redemption for all who place their faith in Him. He arose visibly and bodily from the dead three days later and ascended into heaven, where, at the Father’s right hand, He is now Head of His Body the Church, the only Savior and Mediator between God and people, and will return to earth in power and glory to consummate His redemptive mission (1 Timothy 3:16).

God the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit, in all that He does, glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ during this age. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He draws the unredeemed to repentance and faith, and at salvation imparts new spiritual life to the believer, bringing that person into union with Christ and the Body of Christ. The Holy Spirit sanctifies, seals, fills, guides, instructs, comforts, equips, empowers, permanently indwells at salvation, and bestows spiritual gifts to the believer for Christ-like living and service (John 16:813:15Titus 3:5Ephesians 1:224:11-12Romans 8:9-1712:4-81 Corinthians 3:1612:4-511-1319Galatians 5:25Hebrews 2:1-42 Corinthians 12:12).
